What if Colonizers were clowns?

Shreya Parashar and Sachin Sharma are two brown clowns try to reimage colonial history from a comical lens by reversing roles in Colonial Circus – History Clown Style at the Vancouver Fringe.

Using Clown style mimicry, these two clown retell and challenge colonial history and decolonize our minds in the process.

This show was the Patrons’ Pick, Critics’ Choice at Orlando Fringe, and Artists’ Pick at Edmonton Fringe. The show has travelled the continent (Orlando, Cincinnati, Toronto, St. John’s, Montreal, and Edmonton) and even crossed the pond (London, UK), collecting laughs and awards such as Outstanding Clown show – Montreal Fringe, Spirit of the Fringe – Toronto Fringe, and more.
