Soul Maker transcends at the Vancouver Fringe

Soul Maker is about loss and grief framed in the culturally specific folklore of Southeast Asia, namely Singapore and Malaysia, and using textile craft such as sewing and embroidery as a vehicle for spirituality,

The play follows Florentine or “TingTing”, a girl who tries to sew a doll that can act as a vessel for her dying brother’s soul.

This is a heart warming play performed by Olivia Poon, Lissa Neptuno, Joey Lim, Talia Peck with sweet and tender moments with a setting with some audience on stage to give a sense of the having the performance being in the center making the play more intimate.

Another must see at this years Vancouver Fringe.
